~ Idaho Recreation - Biking ~

Brundage  Resort Trails

July through Labor Day you can ride the Blue Bird chairlift to the top of the mountain and enjoy over 20 miles of trails. Most are hand-built single-track trails providing unrestricted action down the hill. There are trails for every level of expertise, offering the opportunity for either a leisurely ride or more extreme fun. Open Fri, Sat, Sun July and August.

Best of McCall - Biking

McCall offers a variety of courses for moutain biking. For those interested in taking in great views and not doing too much work Brundage Mountain rents bikes and will even haul you to the top of the moutain.

If you really want to work up a sweat the single track in the state park is a great ride.

Numerous mountain bike trails are yours for the riding around McCall. For a scenic pedaling adventure, bicycle around Payette Lake by starting on the Warren Wagon Road just west of McCall. The road will take you to North Beach, around the east tip of the lake and back on to Lick Creek Road and into McCall again. The road is paved until you get past North Beach. Contact the McCall Chamber of Commerce or McCall Ranger District for maps and information on all of the trails in the McCall area.

Ponderosa State Park

Tour the park by bike, or on foot! Hike or bike trails that adorn the peninsula, through native wildflowers, near wetlands and beneath the Ponderosa Pine trees.

Warren Wagon Road Backcountry Drive

The road to the mining era town of Warren begins at Hwy. 55 on the west side of McCall and continues along past Payette Lake, Upper Payette Lake, Burgdorf Hot Springs to Warren. Burgdorf has a ghost town and a hot spring with a few very rustic cabins that can be rented. The road literally ends at Warren, located just west of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. This road is closed in winter.
