Ponderosa State Park is located 2 miles northeast of McCall on a peninsula that juts into Payette Lake. There are approximately 15 miles of regularly groomed trails, which provide opportunities for all levels of skiing ability. The terrain is forested with rolling hills and some ridge tops that offer spectacular views of Payette Lake. A heated restroom/visitor center and a large, plowed parking lot are available. The Little Ski Hill - McCall, Idaho Built in 1937 as a winter diversion for local forest workers, the Little Ski Hill has served the region's youth and skiing community for over 65 years. Located two miles north of McCall, Idaho on highway 55, this small but action-packed facility has an alpine hill served by a T-bar providing 405 vertical feet of terrain, 30 kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails, a biathlon range, and is the only lit ski and snowboard hill in the area. Directions from New Meadows: Drive on Highway 55 to the stoplight at Mission Street. Turn right on Mission and continue south for 2.4 miles until you reach Moonridge Road.
